JOB TITLE:
Multi Skilled Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure all company equipment is working to a safe and satisfactory condition, in line with company standards, to meet and exceed business and customer expectations.
IN DUTIES:
To adhere at all times to health and safety regulations
To follow and adhere to planned maintenance programs
To fault find and repair equipment to a satisfactory standard
To undertake any machine adjustments within your capabilities
To use company equipment (manual, electrical or mechanical) in a safe manner
To give training to other engineers within your expertise to increase their knowledge and understanding on equipment setup and fault finding
To provide training to Production employees within your expertise to increase their knowledge and understanding on equipment setup and fault finding
Maintain effective and appropriate communication with your colleagues at all times
To keep the Engineering Manager informed of any problems encountered with any process or equipment issues you are dealing with
To assist in relevant projects and machine modification as and when required
To undertake training offered by the company relevant to your position or for the good of the company
To ensure an effective shift handover is undertaken with the oncoming shift and work is logged according to workshop requirement
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
To have completed a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent
To be qualified to HNC or HND
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
To be computer literate or be prepared to train to a satisfactory level
HOURS OF WORK:
Basic hours will be 42 hours per week with paid lunch breaks
BASIC SALARY:
£28,000pa
PENSION SCHEME:
Automatic enrolment into the Company pension scheme. The Company will contribute 4% and the employee will contribute 2% of basic annual salary to the scheme. Opt out arrangements are in place as well as an option to increase employee contribution to 3%, whereby the company will contribute 6% into the scheme
ANNUAL LEAVE:
Holiday entitlement will be recorded in hours and will continue on a pro rata basis with new employees receiving 248 hours per annum the following January once a full year service has been completed, up to a maximum of 288 hours after 5 years’ service. A maximum of 48 of these hours will cover statutory tied days which includes Christmas and New Year. The Company’s holiday year runs from 1st January to 31st December.
